SUBJECT: STATUS QUO

The Board of Afromed Academy of Medical Research & Innovation wishes to update the 
trainees on the following:

1. NHRA Registration and Accreditation Status.
Registration with the National Health Research Authority (NHRA) has reached an advanced stage and we should expect certification to be officially granted by not later than 15th February 2023. In the same vein and as part of our international expansion policy, we are also in the process of forging strategic partnerships with universities and related organizations that share similar aspirations as Afromed, both within and outside the African continent.

2. Candidate Verification
Verification of research fellowship candidates, both SRFs and JRFs officially closes today. The list of verified candidates is slated for publication by not later than Sunday, 28Th January 2024. Unverified Candidates shall be prohibited from attending Lectures and any  such programs and activities for the inaugural intake and should instead consider reapplying for the next intake which is the July 2024 intake.

3. Admission Letters
Admission Letters for the inaugural intake shall be issued to verified candidates only. Such issuance shall be done in phases as follows:

28th January: SRF
29th to 31st January: JRF

Furthermore, be advised that the Cost of Training for the inaugural intake is free of charge. However, Candidates shall be required to meet the cost of certification, graduation, and induction. The actual fees for these shall be communicated to the individual candidate via the Official Admission Letters. Furthermore, Candidates are being cautioned not to send any money to anyone impersonating to be from Afromed. Official instructions on payments shall be stipulated in the individual admission letters.
