Theme: “Advancing Health Care
through Clinical Research and Multisector Engagement: Skills, Evidence and Impact.”
This program aims to equip health professionals and students with high quality knowledge and skills required to foster development and implementation of medical and clinical research studies that address relevant health problems and generate evidence based solutions. It also aims to promote the dissemination and utilization of clinical research findings in health care practice and policy, as well as facilitate networking and collaboration among medical researchers, practitioners, educators, and other relevant stakeholders in the heath ecosystem.

What is the Afromed Medical and Clinical Research Fellowship Training and Conference?
It is an event that aims to equip health professionals and students with knowledge and skills to conduct and implement clinical research studies that address relevant health problems and generate evidence based solutions. It also promotes the dissemination and utilization of clinical research findings in health care practice and policy, as well as facilitates networking and collaboration among medical researchers, practitioners, educators, and other stakeholders in the health ecosystem.

When and where will the event take place?
The event will take place at Levy Mwanawasa Medical University, Lusaka, Zambia. The conference will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023. The virtual training will start on Saturday, October 28, 2023. The physical training workshop will be held from Wednesday to Friday, December 6-8, 2023. The induction/graduation ceremony for research fellows will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023.

Who are the speakers and what topics will they address?
The speakers are Prof Godfrey Biemba, Dr Jason Mwanza, and Dr Dawin Sichimba. They are experts in health research regulation, ethics, and education. How can I register for the event?
You can register for the event by filling out the online registration form on the website www.afromededu.org. You will need to provide your personal details, contact information, professional background, and preferred mode of participation. You will also need to pay a registration fee depending on your category and mode of participation. The registration deadline is October 30th, 2023.

What are the categories and modes of participation for the event?
There are four categories of participants for the event: health professionals, undergraduate medical students, postgraduate medical students, and other health stakeholders. There are also two modes of participation for the event: virtual and physical. Virtual participants can access the conference and training sessions online via Zoom or other platforms. Physical participants can attend the conference and training sessions in person at the venue. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of physical participants is limited and subject to health guidelines and protocols.

What are the registration fees and payment methods for the event?
The registration fees vary depending on the category and mode of participation of the participants. The fees are as follows:
- Health professionals: K550 for virtual participation, K800 for physical participation
- Undergraduate medical students: K250 for virtual participation, K350 for physical participation
- Postgraduate medical students: K500 for virtual participation, K750 for physical participation
- Other health stakeholders: K550 for virtual participation, K800 for physical participation
